Hajj cost calculator

Get a realistic estimate of what your Hajj may cost, with a breakdown of flights, hotels, visa and more. These are honest estimates, not quotes, and real prices vary.

What the calculator computes

It turns four choices into a per-person range and a total for your group. The range is not built up from live flight or hotel prices: it starts from a fixed planning band for your departure region and package tier, adds a personal-spending allowance, then multiplies by the number of travellers. The line items underneath are fixed percentage shares of the midpoint, there to show where the money typically goes, not separate quotes.

Every input and what it means

InputOptionsEffect
Departing fromUnited States, Canada, United Kingdom, OtherSelects the currency and the band table. "Other" uses the US bands and shows US dollars, so it is only a rough guide outside those three markets.
Package tierBudget, Standard, Premium, LuxuryPicks the per-person band. Budget assumes basic Mina camps and far hotels; Luxury assumes upgraded camps and towers near the Haram. The bands are per person before personal spending.
Travellers1 to 20Multiplies the per-person range. It does not model room sharing: a quad room per person costs less than a double, and the tool cannot see that.
Extra personal budget per personModest 600, Typical 1,200, Generous 1,800Added on top of the band in the chosen currency for food outside the package, phone, gifts, Zamzam shipping and the sacrifice if it is not bundled.

How the figures are derived, and their limits

  • The bands are planning ranges set for 2026 from package prices we observed for each market and tier. They are hard-coded in the tool and updated by hand, not pulled from any booking system.
  • Totals are shown as low to high. The breakdown uses the midpoint, so the five line items always add up to the middle of the range, not to either end.
  • Nothing is converted between currencies; each region has its own band table.
  • Not modelled: room sharing, children's fares, the exact hotel distance, your departure city within the country, exchange-rate moves, and airline surcharges. Any of these can move a real quote by 10 to 30 percent either way.
  • The tool is a sanity check for quotes, not a price you can book.

Worked example (illustrative)

Two travellers from the United States, Standard tier, Typical personal budget. The US Standard band is $11,000 to $15,000 per person. Adding $1,200 gives $12,200 to $16,200 per person, so the tool shows a total of $24,400 to $32,400 for both. The midpoint is $14,200 per person, which the breakdown splits as Flights (return) $2,840, Hotels / Mina & Arafah services $6,390, Nusuk package & permits $2,130, Transport & guidance $1,704, Personal & sacrifice (qurbani) $1,136. If an operator quotes far below $12,200 per person for that tier, ask what has been left out.

Common mistakes

  • Reading the total as a quote. It is the middle of a planning band; real packages sit anywhere in the range and sometimes outside it.
  • Comparing the flight line to a flight search. The line is a percentage of the midpoint, not a fare.
  • Forgetting that the sacrifice, Mina meals and extra nights in Madinah are sometimes outside the package; the personal budget setting is where they go.
  • Multiplying by travellers and assuming double rooms. Ask operators for quad and triple pricing before deciding the group is unaffordable.
  • Using "Other" as if it were your market. Bands differ a lot between, say, South Asia and the Gulf.

When to ask an operator instead

Once you know your dates, group size and preferred hotel zone, a quote beats any calculator: operators bundle group fares and contracted hotel rates the tool cannot see. Use the guidance form and compare each quote line by line against the breakdown here. For Nusuk-direct countries the package price is on Nusuk Hajj itself; use this tool to budget flights and personal spending around it.

Questions pilgrims ask

Are the figures per person or for the group?

The big number is the total for the number of travellers you entered; the line items are per person, marked "pp".

Does it include the visa?

The Nusuk package and permits share (15 percent of the midpoint) stands in for the platform fees; the actual Hajj package price is what Nusuk or your national mission publishes.

Why does my quote differ?

Operators price by exact hotel, room type, departure city and booking date, none of which the tool asks for. A difference of 10 to 30 percent is normal; a difference of 50 percent needs an explanation.

Which currency is used?

The one matching your departure region: US dollars, Canadian dollars or pounds. "Other" shows US dollars.
