Prayer times are computed with the Umm al-Qura method used in the Kingdom and may differ by a minute from the mosque's announced iqamah. Weather and rates come from public APIs and are indicative.

What each box shows, and where it comes from

BoxSource and methodNotes
Prayer times, Makkah and MadinahAladhan timings API, calculation method 4 (Umm al-Qura, the method used in Saudi Arabia), for the coordinates of Makkah (21.4225, 39.8262) and Madinah (24.4672, 39.6112).Times are rounded to the minute. The mosque's iqamah follows the adhan by a set interval, so arrive early. The date under the Makkah box is the API's readable date.
TodayYour browser's own calendar functions: the Hijri date uses the Umm al-Qura calendar in the Asia/Riyadh time zone, and the clock ticks every second in Makkah time.Hijri dates depend on moon sighting; the browser calendar is a calculation and can differ by a day at month start.
CountdownsFixed estimates in the page script: Hajj 1448 around 15 May 2027 and Ramadan 1448 around 8 February 2027, counted in days from today.Approximate until the Saudi authorities confirm dates; the 7 April 2027 last-departure date for the Umrah season is from the Ministry's season calendar.
WeatherOpen-Meteo forecast API: current temperature, feels-like (apparent temperature) and humidity, plus tomorrow's high and low, in the Asia/Riyadh time zone.Model data, not a station reading at the Haram; the mataf in sun runs hotter than the number.
Saudi riyalopen.er-api.com latest rates with the riyal as base, inverted to show how many riyals one dollar, pound, euro, rupee or Pakistani rupee buys; the source's last-update time is shown.Mid-market, indicative. Cards and exchange desks add a margin; see money and payments.

Refresh behaviour

  • Each feed is fetched once when the page loads; there is no background polling. Reload the page to refresh.
  • If a source does not answer, its box keeps the dots; the other boxes still fill.
  • The page needs a connection; it is not part of the offline bundle because the data would be stale.
  • Your browser calls those three services directly, so they see the request and your IP address, as explained in the privacy policy. We receive nothing.

How to use it in planning

  1. Choose your window. Check the feels-like temperature for the month you are considering across a few days; above about 40 degrees, plan tawaf for after Isha or on the upper floors (heat safety).
  2. Plan the day. Note Fajr and Isha times: they set when the mosque is calmest and when hotel shuttles are busiest (avoiding crowds).
  3. Budget in riyals. Convert the calculator result or a quote into riyals here to judge daily spending money.
  4. Watch the calendar. The countdowns show how far off Ramadan and Hajj are; Nusuk Hajj registration for the following season opens months before the countdown reaches zero.

Questions pilgrims ask

Why does the prayer time differ from my app?

Different apps use different calculation methods. This page uses Umm al-Qura (method 4), the official Saudi method; apps set to another method can differ by several minutes.

Are these the times announced at the Haram?

They are the calculated adhan times for the coordinates of each city. The Haram follows the same Umm al-Qura calendar, so they match to within a minute; the iqamah is later.

Can I see the weather for Mina or Arafah?

Not separately; Mina and Arafah are a few kilometres from central Makkah and the model temperature is similar. Conditions on the ground are hotter in the open.

Why are the countdowns approximate?

Because Hajj and Ramadan begin with the sighting of the moon. The page uses the expected dates and we update them when the authorities confirm.
