How Hajj works from 40 countries
Every country sends pilgrims under a quota agreed with Saudi Arabia. 10 of the countries here book directly on the Nusuk Hajj platform; the other 30 run a national mission with a lottery or queue. Pick your country for the authority, the steps, the timeline, costs, and the health documents Saudi Arabia asks of your country.
Two systems, one quota
| Nusuk Hajj direct | National Hajj mission | |
|---|---|---|
| Who | Countries on the Ministry's serviced list: mainly Muslim-minority countries in Europe, the Americas, Oceania, East Asia and southern Africa | Countries with a Hajj ministry, commission or council and a negotiated quota |
| Where you register | hajj.nusuk.sa, in your own account | The authority's portal, offices, partner banks or app |
| Selection | First come, first served by package availability | Lottery, registration queue or age priority when demand exceeds the quota |
| Who issues the visa | The platform, against your paid package | The national mission, through the Saudi Ministry |
| Role of local agencies | Flights, preparation and group travel only | Licensed private operators sell packages inside the quota |
How to read your country page
- Quota and authority. The 2026 figure where one was published, and the body that runs registration, linked to its site where we found one.
- Steps and timeline. Registration windows, lottery or queue, payment, medical file, departure.
- Costs. Published package patterns and the drivers behind them; we do not invent prices.
- Health documents. The Saudi Ministry of Health lists read for your country: meningococcal for everyone, polio, yellow fever and cholera where they apply.
- Embassy and flights. Saudi missions in your country and the cities with nonstop Saudia service.
